Norwood is pleased to announce the following players have re-signed for the NBL1 Central 2021 Season for our Women’s Team; Georgia Thomson, Aimee Herriman, Paige Keenihan and Chelsea Apacible.
Thomson said:
“I am proud to represent Norwood in the upcoming season. We have been putting in the hard work and I am keen to see how we come together as a team. I am also looking forward to being a part of the girls junior development throughout the club!”
These players played in our Adelaide Basketball Challenge 2020 team and form our returning young core.
Chelsea had this to say:
“I am so thankful to be playing for Norwood this coming NBL1 season. I’m keen to put in work and do whatever it takes to help the team. With the direction of coach D-Wash and the energy of the girls, I think we’ll go a long way!”
Norwood has also signed Sophie Kerridge, who last played for the Mildura Heat in the Big V.
Sophie is a dynamic, fast guard, who will add depth to our roster for NBL1 2021.
With these returning players and Kerridge, the Flames are shaping up with a competitive roster in 2021; forming a young core for this and future years to come.
The women are currently in full-swing of pre-season fitness, under the eye of professional strength & conditioning coach Domenic Musci.
Season tips off April 10th against the Woodville Warriors.
